Core Telecom’s designated charity, Dreams and Wishes, have recently enjoyed brushing shoulders with Royalty as they attended an Afternoon Tea hosted by HRH the Duchess of Cornwall.
The charity organised the event at the Duchess’ Welsh home, Llwynywermod, so that the children it works with were able do something most children could only dream of, meet Royalty.
Camilla spent the day meeting the charity’s children, workers and supporters, spending time chatting and playing with the children, before also enjoying a performance from the Carmarthen Youth Opera and presenting each child with a teddy bear to commemorate the day.
Tony Curtis MBE, chairman of Dreams and Wishes, said: “This event is the kind of thing that makes our job worthwhile. It has been an amazing day and it has been a fantastic to see the children so happy.
“Meeting Royalty is something most children can only dream of and we’re delighted that we have been able to make this dream come true for the children we work with”.
As the day drew to a close, the charity kindly presented the Duchess with a namesake plaque for her home with a young oak tree.
Camilla said: “Thank you! Every time I look at this tree in years to come I will think of the great time we had today.”
Dreams and Wishes are a charity working to fulfil the dreams and wishes of seriously ill children. Core have worked closely with the charity since it was set up in 2011, and are proud to support the work they continue to do.
