Core Telecom Ltd has continued their proud history of supporting a full range of both local and national charities by supporting Natalie Proctor’s fund raising drive for Yorkshire Cancer Care.
Natalie’s story goes back 22 years, when she was first diagnosed with Osteosarcoma (Bone Cancer), and was treated for the condition at St. James’s Hospital in Leeds.
Several years later Natalie was again treated on the oncology wards at St James’s after being diagnosed with Choroid Plexus Cancinoma, which is a form of brain tumour.
Her third bout of cancer was five years ago, when again she received chemotherapy at St James’s.
Thankfully, Natalie’s health is currently in a fantastic state and incredibly has now launched a big fund raising campaign for The Yorkshire Cancer Centre Appeal. This charity raises money which goes directly to benefit patients being treated at St James’s Institute of Oncology at the hospital in Leeds.
All money raised goes towards funding specialist medical equipment, cancer research, support for patient home care, plus arts and garden projects.
To help towards Yorkshire Cancer Care’s huge £60 million appeal, Natalie will be walking the Inca Trail in Peru this October, and Core Telecom Ltd is delighted to be able to donate.
Core’s Chief Executive, Mahmood Mazhar commented: “Natalie’s story is truly inspirational and after hearing about her find raising campaign, I wanted to hear how I could get involved. I wish Natalie all the best both personally and with her fantastic work.”
If you would like to support Natalie you can do through her Just Giving Page.
The support for Yorkshire Cancer Care is just the latest charity Core Telecom has supported in 2012. Not only have they provided financial support to Breakthrough Breast Cancer, St George’s Crypt and Light in Africa, Core has also provided full use of our systems to both The Disabilities Trust and Dreams & Wishes.
