A Night to Remember: Yorkshire Children of Courage Awards 2025

The Yorkshire Children of Courage Awards, held on the 10th of October, was nothing short of amazing—courageous, inspiring, and full of joy from start to finish. The room was alive with applause as young people from across our region took to the stage to share stories of grit, kindness, and triumph. From the outstanding finalists to the show‑stopping dancers and the brilliantly orchestrated programme, everything about the evening felt special.

One of the highlights of the night for our team came when our Group Managing Director Paul Turner was proud to present the prestigious Yorkshire Children’s Charity of the Year Award. This year handing over the trophy to the Yorkshire Children’s Charity,  was a moving reminder of how much good is happening, often quietly, in communities across Yorkshire. The award recognises organisations that go above and beyond for young people—providing care, comfort, and chances to thrive—and it was an honour to help spotlight that impact on such a grand stage.

Record‑Breaking Fundraising

Generosity flowed just as freely as the applause. Thanks to the incredible efforts of organisers, sponsors, donors, and everyone in the room, the event raised a record‑breaking £101,000. That total is more than a number; it represents thousands of moments of relief, support, and inspiration that will touch children and families in the months ahead.
