Breast Cancer Now: A Partnership Making a Difference

Breast cancer continues to impact thousands of lives in the UK, with over 55,000 people diagnosed every year. For more than 50 years, Breast Cancer Now, a leading charitable organisation, has been at the forefront of the fight against this disease. Their vision is that by 2050, everyone diagnosed with breast cancer will survive, and they have already invested over £299 million in research to make this a reality.

Supporting people through breast cancer requires seamless communication. With thousands of calls coming in daily—both from those seeking help and those offering it—reliable telecommunication is critical to their operations. However, the costs associated with such high volumes of calls can be significant, and any savings can be redirected to help more families.

That’s where Core Telecom stepped in to support Breast Cancer Now in their important work. The charity had several non-geological (03 and 08) numbers in use across different platforms. We made the entire process of porting these numbers to our network completely seamless, hosting all numbers for free, waving all incoming call charges for 03 numbers and exclusive lower rated on 08 numbers. This allowed Breast Cancer Now to save significant costs, which they could then reallocate to further their mission.
