Core Telecom Halloween Party raises £3,000 for Dreams & Wishes

Last month Core Telecom hosted a Halloween Party in Leeds City Centre to raise money for Dreams & Wishes.

Dreams & Wishes is a fantastic charity which dedicates itself to working with seriously ill children and their families. Their team tirelessly work to full fill the wishes of truly inspirational children. This could be through fantastic days out, gifts or the chance to meeting their favourite celebrity.

Core Telecom has supported the charity since their launch in 2011. Since then Core has made several donations, raised money through various initiatives including charity bike rides and the Leeds Half Marathon. The charity also benefits from marketing support, website design and development and full use of Core’s telecoms systems.

The Halloween Party took place in Norman Bar and was hosted by Core Telecom’s Chief Executive Mahmood Mazhar, who has also become a charity ambassador. Tickets were priced at £10 each, with every penny raised going directly to the charity. Donations were also given on the night through collections and the generosity of those who attended.

In total £3,000 was raised for the charity, which immediately go towards continuing the great work done by Dreams & Wishes.

After the total was announced Mr Mazhar commented: “The Halloween Party at Norman Bar has become an annual tradition, and it was fantastic to provide another opportunity to raise money for Dreams & Wishes. I’m proud of Core’s continued support of the charity and I hope to be able to work even closer with them in the future.”

Sian Kosinki, a director and co founder of Dreams & Wishes stated: “It is thanks to companies like Core Telecom that we are able to do such great work. The support from Mahmood and the whole team is vital to our day to day operations. The money they have raised, and all donations to the charity go straight into supporting the children we work with.”
