Core Telecom’s CEO, Mahmood Mazhar has helped one little boy’s dream come true this week as he sent him to watch his favourite team play football.
Lloyd Evans has recently celebrated one year in remission from Leukaemia and his mother approached children’s charity, Dreams & Wishes, to help grant Lloyd’s wish of being able to watch Manchester United play football at Old Trafford.
Core Telecom works closely with Dreams & Wishes, a charity that works to fulfil the dreams of seriously ill children, and have provided support in many areas over the years.
After hearing about Lloyd’s story, Mr. Mazhar decided to step in and donate his own personal season tickets so that Lloyd could go and watch a match of his choice.
Lloyd chose to go to Manchester United’s latest match against Swansea and his mum, Ellen sent us this message: “Thank you very much for the tickets. Lloyd and his dad had a fantastic time watching the game. It was made extra special with a 2-0 win!”
Mr Mazhar said: “As soon as I heard about Lloyd’s wish I wanted to help. Dreams & Wishes are a fantastic charity and we try to help them in any way that we can.
“Lloyd had an amazing day and the fact that his team won put the cherry on top of the cake!”
