Daz White runs 10K for Dreams and Wishes

Core Telecom would like to pass on huge congratulations to Daz White as he completes his first event of his charity fundraising efforts.

Daz, whose hard work is being sponsored by Core, has run the Lincoln 10K event all in the aid of Core’s designated charity, Dreams and Wishes.

A team of 19 other runners joined Daz to complete the run and altogether they are hoping to have raised over £500 for the charity.

Daz, who is a physical training instructor at RAF Scampton, is planning a number of fundraising events throughout 2013 in aid of Dreams and Wishes following the charity’s amazing support of Darren’s family member, Macsen Giess.

Core Telecom is supporting Daz and his team throughout their training for all of their events by sponsoring their training kits and equipment, making sure they can focus on raising as much money as they can for the charity.

‘The Core Telecom clothing is creating a real buzz around RAF Scampton as the team is frequently seen conducting cardio sessions in the neighbouring fields as well as dominating the weights bay and sports hall for towing and heavy lifting activities,’ says Daz.

‘The identity generated from the Core Telecom clothing has really bonded the group. There is a sense of brotherhood and the results in the weights bay are proving it.

‘I carried a photo of Macsen around the run with me and it will now be with me for every event I do. The run was my first physical event for Dreams & Wishes, now the challenges can only get bigger and better and harder!’

The next event is planned for 28th May when Daz and his team will climb the vertical height of Mount Everest, from its base camp to the summit, using a 6.5m climbing tower.
