Testicular cancer. It’s not exactly a topic we chat about over coffee, but here’s the reality: in the UK, around 2,300 men are diagnosed with it every year (according to the Testicular Cancer Trust). That’s a sobering statistic, and one that OddBalls, a fantastic UK organisation founded in 2015, is tackling.
Their approach? It’s refreshingly unique. OddBalls Foundation uses humour and eye-catching designs to raise awareness about testicular cancer, encouraging young men to get familiar with their own balls and check for anything unusual.
Here at Core Telecom, we’re proud supporters of this increasingly important cause. We believe in the power of awareness, which is why we’re honoured to provide the OddBalls Foundation with a free 03 number for all their incoming calls. This small act helps ensure their phone lines are always open for anyone with questions or in need of support.
We recently had the pleasure of welcoming a Leeds ambassador, Charlie Eke from the OddBalls Foundation to our office in Stanningley. He even rolled up in their branded car, constantly reminding the streets in Leeds that testicular cancer is a reality, but one we can fight together.
Early detection is key when it comes to testicular cancer. By getting comfortable with self-checks and knowing what to look for, men can catch the disease at an earlier stage, often leading to successful treatment.
At Core Telecom, we’re proud to empower non-profit organisations making a positive social impact. By donating free 03 numbers with free incoming calls, we help such organisations reduce costs and connect more easily with supporters. We even eliminate set-up fees to ensure a smooth and efficient experience.
Charities looking to get a 03 number donation to waive their incoming call charges can email us at: [email protected]
