Core Telecom’s recent donation to new children’s charity, Dreams & Wishes, has been recognised by leading Member of Parliament, Stuart Andrew.
In a letter to Core Telecom’s Chief Executive, Mahmood Mazhar, Mr Andrew said that ‘Core Telecom will help to raise awareness of this wonderful charity’ and ‘…that Core’s services will encourage people to call the charity and boost the donations they generate’.
Mahmood Mazhar, said, “I was delighted to receive this letter from Stuart Andrew MP and am extremely grateful that he took the time to send it. Of course, the important fact in all of this is that there is a wonderful new charity which can make a real difference to many people and our ongoing support will help them to establish Dreams & Wishes as a major UK charity”.
Sian Kosinski, Co-Founder of Dreams and Wishes also wrote to Mr Mazhar to thank him for Core Telecom’s support. She said, “We are very proud to work with you and Core Telecom in a partnership that I am sure will make a huge difference to children and families alike. Working together we can make Dreams & Wishes come true for families throughout England and Wales and I am sure we can bring smiles, memories, joy and happiness and financial relief to them”.
The letter from Mr Andrew is the second time this year that Core Telecom’s benevolence has been recognised by a leading public figure. In May 2011, The Lord Mayor of Leeds recognised Core Telecom’s efforts which were instrumental in bringing major international telecoms conference to Yorkshire for the first time. He said “May I take the opportunity to thank Mahmood Mazhar, Chief Executive of Core Telecom, for helping to bring the T360 conference to our city. Core Telecom is a good example of Yorkshire’s businesses – ambitious, hardworking, innovative and passionate about the success of the region”.
Core Telecom is passionate about supporting charities. As well as supporting Dreams & Wishes, Core Telecom has made significant charitable donations in the last year to Diabetes UK, The Disabilities Trust, Cancer Research UK, Brown Dog, Raising Malawi and Full Life Church in Maltby.
