New children’s charity receives £5000 donation from Core Telecom
Dreams & Wishes, the new national children’s charity which officially launches on 11 November, has received its first major donation from Core Telecom, the UK’s leading inbound call specialist.
The £5000 cash donation is the beginning of an ongoing partnership between the organisations which will also see Core Telecom’s team raising money through various initiatives. In addition, Core is helping Dreams & Wishes by donating technologically advanced telecoms services including new memorable phone numbers that will encourage people to call them and as a result boost the donations they generate.
Dreams & Wishes is a brand new charity which has been set up to bring joy to seriously and terminally ill children. It has a number of well-known supporters including boxing legend Joe Calzaghe MBE CBE and MP Peter Hain MP.
In addition, Sir David Richards, Chairman of the Premier League, is the President of Dreams & Wishes. He said, “I am delighted to be involved with a children’s charity that is going to make such a difference.”
Core Telecom’s £5000 donation is crucial to starting this important new charity.
Sian Kosinski, Co-Founder of Dreams & Wishes explained, “As a charity we are completely reliant on donations and support from the public and businesses in order to be able to make children’s dreams and wishes come true. We are incredibly grateful to Core Telecom for their generous support.”
Mahmood Mazhar, Chief Executive of Core Telecom said, “Dreams & Wishes is a superb new charity and we couldn’t wait to get involved. Naturally we want to help them get up and running but we also want to support their long term success. So we’re not only donating money but we’re lending our technical expertise and services too.”
Core Telecom is passionate about supporting charities. In the last year alone, Core Telecom has made significant charitable donations in order to; aid research into diabetes (Diabetes UK), brain injuries (The Disabilities Trust) and cancer (Cancer Research UK and Brown Dog); help orphaned children in Malawi (Raising Malawi); and fund new community facilities (Full Life Church in Maltby).
